i am in your city

and i can’t figure out how to make the water come out of the water hot making machine. i pushed all of the buttons with all of their japanese characters, especially the biggest button with 出 that i know means ‘out’, but the hot water does not come out. i know it is hot. i opened the lid and steam came to my fingers. so instead i dip the entire tea cup (that came with the apartment) into the hot water and scoop a little bit out. but it is not very much, because otherwise my fingers would be burned. i take a small sip, and that is about all i can manage.
